Dubai: The brochure for Pampa melam 2025, the grand Onam celebration organized by the alumni association of Devaswom Board Pampa College — Pampatheeram Global Community — was officially launched in Dubai. The ceremony was inaugurated by Major Hamdi Abdullah, Head of Al Qusais Police. Former National Film Award winner Surabhi received the first copy of the brochure.

Pampatheeram President Sebastian Joseph presided over the function. Patrons Sasikumar Nambeemadom and Kala Harikumar, Dr. Soumya Harikumar (Managing Director, Lotus Medical Center), representatives of AKCAF, and Pampatheeram office bearers including Dr. Rajeev Pillai, Sulfikkar Hasan, Mathew Samuel, Koshi Mannar, Saiju Ninan, Santosh S., Hashim, and Martin spoke at the event.

The Onam celebration is scheduled to take place on August 30 in Dubai. This year’s theme for Pamparamelam 2025 is “Nallonam Vallam Kali Kandu Onam”, emphasizing tradition and nostalgia.

The highlight of the event will be the live broadcast of the iconic Nehru Trophy Boat Race from the famous Punnamada Lake, allowing attendees to enjoy the race on a big screen with all its energy and rhythm.

The Pampatheeram Global Community is gearing up to transform the Arabian sands into a festive cultural stage filled with traditional instrumental performances, vallappattu, and folk songs — offering a true taste of Kerala’s heritage.
