Paresh Purushothaman, an expatriate engineer from Thrissur, Kerala was running 'Happy Holdings', which dealt with acoustic and heat insulation works, sign materials as well as rubber products. A project done by his child on hydroponics, the new technology of soil less agriculture struck his mind, and there began the story of GreenOponics. Being a person who consider agriculture and farming as a responsibility rather than a task, he developed a proper system, by which Hydroponics can be spread across UAE. 

The attempts are to bring farming and agriculture closer to the people, who live in conditions with only limited area. Being soil less, it doesn't create the usual mess that one have after dealing with farming activities. The hydroponics set up created by Paresh require only less area, may be a small balcony.
