AKCAF Unveils Jersey and Trophy Ahead of APL Season 5 in Dubai

Dubai:- The All Kerala Colleges Alumni Forum AKCAF Events recently hosted the Jersey Launch and Trophy Unveiling Ceremony ahead of the upcoming AKCAF Professional League APL Season 5. The event was held at the Marcopolo Hotel in Dubai.

The prestigious ceremony was attended by renowned Chief Cricket Writer K R Nayar Former Kerala Ranji Trophy Captain Sony Cheruvathur Former UAE Women’s Cricket Team Captain and ECB Development Officer Chaya Mughal and AKCAF Events Chief Patron Isaac John Pattaniparambil.

The function also witnessed the presence of the Rajith sisters Rithika Rajith Rinitha Rajith and Rishita Rajith who are former UAE national cricket team players.

Speaking on the occasion K R Nayar highlighted that AKCAF Events holds the unique distinction of being the first platform in the Middle East to introduce the 100 ball format. He stated that this format is likely to become a trend in the coming years. He also appreciated the high standards and success achieved by the previous four seasons of the APL.

Chaya Mughal stated that she would make efforts to ensure greater participation of AKCAF members in women’s cricket and help talented players reach the Ladies National Cricket Team.

Sony Cheruvathur remarked that the UAE based Keralite community eagerly looks forward every year to witnessing a power packed and exciting APL cricket tournament.

Former Indian pace bowler S Sreesanth one of the heroes of India’s 2007 T20 World Cup victory will serve as the Brand Ambassador of the APL for the fifth consecutive year.
