Dubai : Expo 2020 might be the first fair to be headed by women in such a vast majority. Including Reem Al Hashmi, more than 50 percentage of employees assoisiated with the expo are women. Among these, 60 percent will be Emirati women, as informed by Mahaa Al Garwahi, Senior Vice President, Expo political affairs, in an online webinar conducted by UAE embassy.
The chief in - charge of the expo is Reem Al Hashmi, Minister for International Co Operations. "The expo will wipe off the misunderstanding about the Arab women. They will have opportunities to portray their abilities and expertise, and also the expo will showcase the efforts that UAE government is taking for the upliftment of women" - says Hind Alowase, expo participant management vice president. The rulers from Shaikh Zayed always believed in the role of women in the growth of UAE, and hence the expo will be incomplete without honouring their contributions. It will prove to be a good platform to discuss about inequalities.
There will be a special platform for women in the expo. More than 1500 programs will take place here. "Women empowerment will foster humanity" - will be the title given to the massive exhibition related to the pavilion. Activities like Women's Majilis also will be conducted to ensure the participation of Arab women and special forums, to ensure global participation.
