Dubai : Lakhs of expatriate Indians, who are stranded in India expect the intervention of Central Government, to get a confirmation regarding their re entry to UAE.
Due to the unexpected ban which came up. Many people have been staying back home since 3 months. Even then the central government has not shown the willingness at least to conduct a discussion with the UAE government. When there was such situations in the past, the ministry of external affairs as well as central government used to intervene. Expatriates expect that a discussion with the UAE government on ensuring a safer transport may bear fruit.
Even when it is an Internal affairs of another country, if the central government takes initiative to inform about the people's needs, there may be some changes. The employees are really upset with the Government's "no action" policy.
Several agencies have already contacted the Prime Minister, External Affairs Minister and Indian Consulate. Authorities from UAE had stated that they too wish to remove the ban as early as possible, and are studying the condition of the pandemic in India. It is high time that a discussion is done between the two governments regarding this matter.
