UAE to provide Golden Visa to students for 10 years duration. Families may also get benefits.

Dubai : UAE to provide Golden Visa to students who have secured more than 95 percent marks in the secondary level, as well as their families. Many people, including Keralites will be benefitted by the scheme. It is applicable to the students of both Government as well as private institutions. Students who have secured a grade point average (GPA) of 3.75 and above is also made a part of the scheme. Natives as well as expatriates to UAE, can apply for the same.

A lot of students, including Malayalis have secured marks above 95 percent. Under this scheme, the visa will cost only AED 1000, for 10 years. At present the cost for two years' visa is AED 5000 for the students, and families also pay the same to continue their works as well as studies in UAE. The new amendment will encourage students to continue their education in the country. Applications are to be forwarded through the  Emirates School Establishment.

Earlier, Thasneem Aslam, Malayali Student who graduated from Al Qasimia University, Sharjah, was awarded Golden Visa by the Government. On gaining this scheme, students can sponsor their parents as well as siblings, and the family members can also work here. UAE government have also informed that the Golden Visa holders will also be provided with Work Permit.
